Cohort 3 — Call for Applications
An elite, fully residential advanced digital skills programme for Abia youth. 850 slots. 12–16 weeks of immersive training. Free laptops, meals, and accommodation. A gateway to civil service, tech employment, and global opportunity.
Laptop Provided
Every admitted participant receives a brand-new laptop for use throughout the training — fully equipped with the required software suite.
Free Accommodation
All participants are housed on camp for the full duration of the programme, ensuring total immersion and equal access to resources.
3 Meals Daily
Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are provided every day on camp. No need to worry about feeding yourself during the programme.
Free Internet Access
High-speed internet access is available throughout the training centre to support research, projects, and online collaboration.
Job Placement Support
Top performers receive job placement assistance, internship connections, and career support. Cohort 2's top 50 graduates received automatic Abia State civil service employment.

TechRise is a fully immersive programme. Partial participation undermines your own outcomes and denies a committed candidate their opportunity. The following categories of applicants will be asked to step aside.
⚠️ Workers & Employees
Anyone whose employment schedule prevents them from committing at least 10 hours daily, Monday to Saturday, to the programme will not be accommodated. This programme is not compatible with concurrent employment.
⚠️ Civil Servants
Civil servants are strongly advised not to use this programme as a reason for truancy from government duty. Applications from civil servants will not be accepted.
⚠️ Active Undergraduates
Persons currently enrolled in and actively attending a full-time undergraduate academic programme are not eligible. Past experiences have shown that juggling both programmes results in poor performance and high dropout rates.
⚠️ Nursing Mothers
Given the fully residential and intensive nature of the programme, nursing mothers will not be able to maintain the required level of commitment and will not be considered for this cohort.

Valid NIN
Your National Identification Number (NIN) is mandatory. Ensure your NIN is active and linked to your phone number before applying.

Valid ABSSIN
Your Abia State Social Investment Number (ABSSIN) is required to confirm Abia State residency or indigeneship eligibility.

Basic Computer Skills
All applicants must possess foundational computer literacy: basic file management, internet browsing, and typing. The programme is advanced — not introductory.

Age Proof
A valid government-issued ID confirming you are between 18 and 35 years of age. This will be cross-checked during the verification phase.

LGA of Origin
Applicants must indicate their LGA. 50 slots are allocated per LGA across all 17 Local Government Areas of Abia State.

Cybersecurity Prerequisite
Applicants for the Cybersecurity & DevSec track only must provide evidence of prior training or experience in computer hardware or networking. This will be verified during the CBT or verification stage.

Social Media Accounts
Be ready to create accounts on X (Twitter), LinkedIn, Hashnode, and Medium. Fullstack Development applicants also need GitHub; UI/UX Design applicants need Behance and Dribbble.

A Guarantor
For laptop collection, you must provide one guarantor who can confirm your character and agree that the laptop will not be sold or transferred for at least 12 months after the programme. Guarantor must have proof of residence and a government ID.

🚀 Cohort 3 Flag-Off
TechRise maintains strict behavioural standards. Most infractions carry a 3-strike system, but the following result in immediate and permanent removal from the programme — no exceptions.
Fighting
Any form of physical altercation — regardless of provocation — will result in the expulsion of ALL parties involved immediately.
Smoking
Smoking of cigarettes, weed (loud, colos), or any hard substances on or near the campus and training premises is a first-offence expulsion.
Alcohol on Campus
All forms of alcohol are prohibited within the camp and programme premises. Any violation leads to immediate expulsion from the programme.
Harassing Staff
Insulting, harassing, or threatening any TechRise/LearnFactory staff member will result in immediate arrest, police handover, and expulsion.
Sexual Harassment
Any sexual harassment, coercion, or assault — against fellow participants or staff — results in immediate expulsion. Cases of rape will also result in criminal prosecution.
Travelling Without Approval
Weekend travel is permitted from 3PM Saturdays only with prior approval by 12PM Friday. Travelling after a rejected application is an immediate expulsion offence.
All other Code of Conduct violations carry a 3-strike system: 2 warnings, then expulsion on the third offence. Report incidents to conduct@abiatechrise.ng
